Lebara Internet Plans
Lebara currently offers three Data-Only plans:
-
Small Data Only 30-Day
-
Medium Data Only 60 Day
-
Large Data Only 90-Day
Each data plan comes with bonus data that increases with each plan tier. To use Lebara’s service, you’ll need to purchase a Lebara SIM card if you don’t have one activated already. The activation process can be completed on Lebara’s website or through Lebara’s free mobile app.
Customers can cancel whenever they want without incurring fees. However, once the plan expires, the plan price and any remaining credit will not be refunded.
Lebara Features & Perks
Lebara offers a few benefits that are great for mobile broadband customers. Below, you’ll find a list of Lebara’s current features.
Data Banking: Applicable to 30-Day, Long Expiry, and Data-Only plans, customers can bank up to 200GB of data that has not been used. Customers will have 48 hours to recharge their plan once it has expired. Once the 48 hours have passed, any data that has been banked will be lost.
Gift Your Data: Customers that are signed up with a 30-Day or Long Expiry plan can gift friends and family who are on Lebara up to 2GB of data per transaction with a limit of up to 5 times every 30 days. The total limit one can gift is 30GB every 30 days. You’ll need to visit Lebara’s online portal to gift your data.
My Lebara App: The My Lebara mobile app offers customers a convenient way to keep track of their data usage and manage their accounts. If you’re setting up an account for the first time, you’ll need to enter your SIM card number to enroll. You can also scan the number through your smartphone for faster access.
Once you sign up for a mobile broadband plan, you can also use the mobile app to top up, recharge, and check your data usage. Lebara will send data alerts after 50%, 75%, or 100% usage.

Is Lebara Internet Right for Me?
Lebara boasts a competitive prepaid phone service but falls short in its pricing and plans. With the lack of features and perks, customers can find value similar with other mobile broadband providers like Telstra or Amaysim. The benefit of banking your data up to 200GB is great for customers who aren’t heavy internet users or are keen on saving data. Additionally, the option to gift your data to another Lebara member is a bonus for families. However, it’s hard to justify signing up for a plan solely for the aforementioned features. If you’re looking for great value on a no-frills data only plan, you might want to consider another provider.
That being said, even if you are keen to sign up with this provider, it is wise to compare plans and shop around to ensure you sign up for a plan that’s ideal for you.
